To prepare members for the new Code on samples effective on 1st April, HKAPI organised a train-the-trainer workshop on 28th March.

Over 70 members were attentive to the refined guidelines on samples, defined as not-for-sale and limited-time only starter packs to familiarise doctors with medicines.

To align with global standards, HKAPI suggested a reasonable frequency and quantity with limit time offer in Hong Kong, where the objective is to reduce the risk of perceived inducement to doctors in a dispensing market.

The workshop was completed with three simulated case studies on the subject in which the attendees got a chance to discuss and familiarise themselves with real-life situation.
