Mr. Andy Barnett, the HKAPI President, kick-started the session with a brief introduction, followed by a talk on the Hospital Authority Code of Conduct by honourable guest speakers from the Hospital Authority Head Office, Ms. Cindy Chu and Ms. Marika Au, who explained HA’s guidelines on acceptance of advantages, entertainment and sponsorship, as well as considerations in tender evaluation.

The Ethics and Compliance Task Force members then took over to familiarize the participants, through presentations and interactive Q&A; games, on hot topics in the new Code such as medical congress sponsorship, grants and donations, interaction with patient organizations, and last but not least, samples.
