由醫院管理局、香港病人組織聯盟及香港科研製藥聯會合辦的「病人賦能研討會2019」已於2月23日在衞生防護中心圓滿舉行。今年已是三方連續第六年合辦研討會，逾150名病友、醫護人員及業界代表踴躍參與。

研討會開幕典禮由食物及衞生局局長陳肇始教授、香港病人組織聯盟主席袁少林先生、香港科研製藥聯會副會長張欣庭女士，及醫院管理局行政總裁高拔陞醫生主持。

The theme of the forum is “Patient-centered Healthcare”, which means a patient’s specific health needs and desired health outcomes are the driving force behind all healthcare decisions. Representatives from patient groups shared the challenges in daily life and desire to healthcare services in videos produced by students from Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) and HA nursing schools, while doctors and medical social worker shared in short talks how they treat patients from a clinical perspective as well as emotional, mental, social and financial perspectives. They also discuss patients’ role throughout the treatment process.
