On 23 March 2019, over 30 Macao stakeholders participated in the Macao Roundtable on Improving Patient Access, the first ever face-to-face discussion on healthcare issues between the industry and Macao policy-makers in a roundtable setting.
Procurement policy-makers and senior pharmacists from the Macao government hospital CHCSJ, the private Kiang Wu Hospital, as well as officials from the Macao drug authority DAF, actively participated in the roundtable co-organized by the HKAPI and the University of Macau, learning from and discussing with AbbVie’s regional Market Access expert and speaker, Ms. Cammy Yuen, the various types of access programmes, including finance-based and outcome-based risk share schemes, to help expedite patient access to innovative medicines.
