On May 2, 2019, nearly 30 members of 13 companies, including senior management and marketers, joined the Phase 2 workshop of Pharma-Insurance Collaboration.
The Voluntary Health Insurance Scheme (“VHIS”) has been fully launched from April 1, 2019, which would be an excellent opportunity for the pharmaceutical industry as well as the insurance industry. Following the briefing session hosted by the Open Access task force in February, the task force organized the phase 2 workshop, to further explore the feasibility of the collaboration between HKAPI members and the insurance industry.
Dr York Chow, Chief Medical Officer & Corporate Advisor of AIA and Ms Christina Cheng, Director, Health Services Transformation of AIA has been invited to bring to the workshop about their ideas on VHIS and pharma-insurance collaboration, followed by a discussion session. Our members have had a fruitful communication with Dr Chow and Christina.
