Pharmacists, patients, policy makers and medical professionals gathered together for the fourth year of patient empowerment.
Over 200 representatives from patient groups, healthcare professionals and HKAPI members showed up on a Saturday morning on January 14th to the Forum jointly organized by the Hospital Authority, Hong Kong Alliance of Patients’ Organizations and HKAPI.
The seminar included a series of short talks on how to obtain accurate information for pharmaceutical products, tips on safety usage, guidelines on Chinese medicine and main duties on pharmacists, complemented by the sharing sessions from patient groups and caretakers.
President Margaret Rumpf said HKAPI supported patient empowerment and believed the accurate pharmaceutical information is the cornerstone for patient to choose what is best for them in what makes the high-quality medical service in Hong Kong.
